Home Learning Tasks for the Brilliant Bears’

Today is Friday Brilliant Bears! If it is Friday today, what day is it tomorrow?

I hope you have enjoyed all your activities this week?

I thought as it is Friday we could have a really active day!

Rainbows and Sunshine kids songs, matching animated videos, books ...

Morning activities

Today, I have a video that is going to put your balancing into practice!

Can you jump as high as me?

I have also attached the link to shake your sillies out as I know you love this one!

In the Brilliant Bears, we love singing songs about letters and sounds.  This is a song you all know really well so sing along and help your grown-up to join in too.  We listen to this song every day to help remember our letters! Repetition is key!

Today, you will be playing musical corners! We love this game at Nursery. It is a little different today, you are going to play alliteration musical corners!

So you have to find two objects that begin with ‘s’, two objects that begin with ‘a’, two objects that begin with ‘t’ and two that begin with ‘p’.

Grown-ups: whilst finding the items please emphasise on the initial (first) sound. For example, “P, Pig and P, Pot”

Once you have found these, place one of each of the objects in a corner of the room. So grown-ups will still have 4 objects in their hands, one for every initial sound.

Play a song of your choice and get your dance on!

Grown-ups, your job is to stop the music and show your child an item, they must then stand in the corner where the item has the same initial sound!

This is a tricky activity for us Brilliant Bears, so you can help them!

Today, I have found a new counting song! There is a lot of moving, so get ready!

Today, we are going to do more comparing!

Grown ups, today you child will need 4-10 pieces of pasta and 2 bowls. Please make sure that you give your child a equal amount of pasta.

How many pieces of pasta do you have all together?

Can you split the pasta into the bowls differently lots of times?

How many pieces of pasta have you put in each bowl?

Which bowl has more pasta in?

Which bowl has less pasta in?

Have you put an equal amount of pasta in each bowl?

We found this tricky at Nursery, did you find it tricky at home?

Send me a picture with a thumbs up if you found it easier this time.

Helpers of the week:

Doctors and nurses

Today we will be looking at the different things doctors and nurses carry in their bags.

What do you think doctors and nurses might carry in their bags?

Here is a picture of different items that belong in a doctors and nurses handbag.

Do you know what they are called and what they are used for?
