Home Learning Tasks for the Brilliant Bears
Good morning Brilliant Bears. Look out your window, what is the weather like today?
Signs of the week:
Please and Thank you
Shake, shake your sillies out!
The lighthouse keeper’s lunch
This week we are reading the story ‘The lighthouse keeper’s lunch’. I have left the attachment for the video of the story below.
Topic: Sun, Fun and Splash!
Today we need to make our picnic, what are you going to eat?
Make sure you wash your hands first.
Can you help your grown- up make it? What do you need from the fridge? What cutlery do you need?
I would love to see a picture of you preparing your lunch.
Have fun making your picnic!
Phonics and Funky Fingers
I have left you the new phonics song on for you to learn.
Today we are going to use play dough to create letters.
First of all, let’s get our fingers warmed up by splatting our play dough flat, now can you roll it into a ball and poke each finger into it. Finally can you roll out lots of worms? Which is your longest worm?
Adults could you please draw a large ‘s’, ‘i’ and ‘t’ on a piece of paper for the children to mould their playdough around. Children can you trace your finger over the letters, making the letter sound as you do this. Now can you go around your play dough with different colour crayons.
Let’s have a think about your picnic. How many items did you have? Been as we have the play dough out can you make that many balls? How many items did you grown up have? Now make that many balls. How many balls are there all together?
Let’s look at the number sentences below. Can you make play dough balls for the sentences? How many balls all together in each number sentence?
3 + 2 =
4 + 1 =
1 + 5 =
Today I have found a cosmic yoga video about a different bird.
Hope you enjoy it!
