Home Learning Tasks for the Brilliant Bears
We are half way through the first week back already Brilliant Bears. Another new day and it is still a little drizzly outside. Who is missing Mr Sunshine? I know I am.
Sign of the week:
Today is the body boogie. Are you ready to rock?
The Pepper Experiment
I can imagine that you have all heard of the pepper experiment. This experiment shows you the effects of soap and why it is so important to use it!
For the experiment you will need:
Washing up liquid
A wide bowl or rimmed plate
I have attached a video for you to follow!
Grown-ups please explain that the pepper is a representation of a germ.
Please discuss each step, how do the germs react to the soap?
Today you will need Lego to add.
Below I have attached some pictures of different additions. Can you add them together and find out what they equal?
There are also some special signs on the pictures.
This symbol means add. So when you see this, it means you will need to add numbers together.
This symbol means equals. So when you see this symbol, it means you have added the numbers and you know the answer of how many there are all together.
Grown-ups please encourage your child to use language such as add, more than, all together, equals and the number names.
Our phonics song. Make sure you are standing up for your letter. What letter is your grown-ups?
Using the picture of the alphabet, how many letter sounds can you say in 30 seconds?
Ready… Set… GO!
What letters can you copy from the alphabet?
Can you make sure that they are all the right way and starting from the correct places?
If you’re a little bit stuck, use the cursive handwriting app!
What were you thankful for yesterday?
Today I would like you to draw a picture of what you are thankful for and give it to somebody that you love.
Guess how much I love you: The greatest treasure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xx25u3RbZvU&safe=active
What is your greatest treasure?
See you tomorrow.
