Home Learning Tasks for ‘The Fantastic Foxes’
Wednesday 17th June 2020
Good Morning Fantastic Foxes, we hope you had a very busy day yesterday, we were hard at work at school making our foxes too! Don’t forget to send your picture so that I can add them to your reports for your grown-ups.
Phonics / GPS
Yesterday we made some posters all about homophones, can you remember they are words that sound the same but have different spellings? Today can you think of different ways of putting them into sentences. You will have to make sure that the sentences make sense,
Wear are you going at the weekend?
That’s where I put my bag.
Which sentence makes sense and has the correct spellings?
Collective Worship
In all of our classes in school, we are learning new things every day. One way we do this is by having a positive attitude to our learning and ensuring that we do not give up and keep on trying even when we find things difficult. We have enjoyed reading a book called ‘Bubble gum brain’ to help us learn more about how we can stretch our brains to keep on learning new things every day. Have a look at the story in the link and think of some of the things you can do now, which you could not do at the start of the year. How stretchy is your bubble gum brain?

Class Memories Task
I hope that you have been enjoying the tasks for this week and thinking about what it has been like to be a Fantastic Fox. I have been enjoying looking at the stories that we read at the start of the year. My favourite was definitely Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl, because it is a much longer story than the others we have had this week we are going to start it today and use it for the rest of the week too. Follow this link to listen to the story, or if you have the film you could watch that,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJofxwa5bMo&safe=active
(this version is one hour long if you would like to split into three parts for the rest of the week)
Once you have listened to or watched the first part of the story we are going to think of a motto for The Fantastic Foxes, there are some different ideas for you to look at before you make your own.
Create a motto for our class and send it to me and Mrs Hallam so we can add to our displays.
