Home Learning Tasks for The Fantastic Foxes
Friday 15th May 2020
Happy Friday Fantastic Foxes! Well done you have nearly completed another week of learning from home. Thank you to you and your grown-ups for all of your hard work and the pictures and messages that I have had this week. I know how hard it is not being together at school, but you are doing a fabulous job. Don’t forget to send your day pictures for next weeks blogs.
Phonics / GPS
Can you read them in less than one minutes yet Foxes? Keep practising! https://www.langleymillinfantschool.co.uk/uploads/517/grade/459127_grade_file.pdf
For our last phonics task of the week we are going to make some word families using the word list, just like this
Collective Worship
It’s our Celebration Collective Worship day today. Who has done something to celebrate this week? Maybe everyone in your house has done something kind, or helpful? Maybe someone has achieved something new?
Have a look back through the work you have done in your home learning books this week, is there a piece you are especially proud of? Ask your grown-up to send a picture of this work to your teacher to help celebrate what you have done.

Today is going to be our last day using our Oliver story, I don’t know about you but I am going to miss these stories. I have really enjoyed following Oliver on his adventures with the different members of his family. You have a choice today about which activity you would like to do, whichever one you choose you can use your book to record it,
- Write your own version of either Oliver’s Milkshake or Oliver’s Fruit Salad
- Write a book review about your favourite of the three books
- Write a letter to Oliver telling him what you enjoyed about his adventures
- Draw a storyboard or carton strip that shows one of the stories
Lunchtime
Which activity will it be today, if you have someone to play with choose something to do together. The picture is the clue about which one I am going to do.

RE
Today for our RE lesson we are going to think about the story of Noah and his Ark, you should remember this story well because to was used for our Collective worship a couple of weeks ago. You can watch the Beginners Bible story by following this link

We have seen lots about rainbows recently and they are used around the world as a symbol of hope and unity, but did you know that the symbol of the dove is very important to Christians? The dove played an important part in the story of Noah, bringing hope, and it is also used as a symbol of The Holy Spirit. Can you choose a dove that you could make at home https://www.activityvillage.co.uk/dove-crafts Once your dove is made can you write on it
