Friday 1st May 2020

Happy 1st of May Fantastic Foxes, as it is the start of a new month we are going to start a new challenge! Each day that I post a new activity blog for you all I am going to give you a little challenge to complete that you should be able to do without your grown-up (but I’m sure they won’t mind if you need a bit of help!)

Phonics / GPS

Our phonics task today is all about commands. These are bossy sentences that tell you what to do, just like you would find in instructions and recipes. They all have imperative verbs near their start, just like the ones in the picture.

Can you write some bossy sentences in your book?

Collective Worship

It’s our Celebration Collective Worship day today and we are going to think about our theme for this week to help us to give out our special awards. We have seen lots of rainbows everywhere recently and they are used a symbol of unity and hope around the world and for many different reasons.

Can you make them a rainbow themed certificate and write on it just like the teachers do for you?

You will need to do look for Summer Term – Week 2 w/c 27th April 2020 Lesson Five

Today’s task is a maths challenge!

If you would like a new challenge or just something extra to do when you have finished your maths task, there is a brilliant game that you can play called Karate Cats Maths. It has all of the different maths topics we have learnt about and lots of different levels and medals to work through and earn. Follow the link to take you to the game, can you get to the gold award in every topic?

Is there another Supermovers activity that you would like to try?

Use the link to listen to or read the story again if you need to. Today is out last day of learning about this week’s story. You can either write your own version of the story, just like we did for Oliver’s Vegetables, changing the character’s names, places and the fruits too! OR design your own fruit pizza, using your favourite fruits and adding labels. Would you put a sauce on the top or maybe some sprinkles, use your imagination and get creative!

Have a go at another activity from this link, Miss Thurston told me that there are lots to choose from!
