Home Learning Tasks for The Fantastic Foxes
Tuesday 12th May 2020
Good Morning again Foxes, I hope you had a super start to your week yesterday. Today we have got PE and Music lessons for this afternoon from Miss Thurston, don’t forget that you can send pictures of your work to her too.
Phonics / GPS
How did you get on yesterday Foxes? Did you get a good time for your reading? Keep practising everyday using the link https://www.langleymillinfantschool.co.uk/uploads/517/grade/459127_grade_file.pdf
Today’s activity is all about spelling the same set of words that you have been reading. Have a look at the list of words, can you choose some of them to put into sentences? How many can you put into each one? Try and use a conjunction to extend them and make them better, can you remember which ones we have practised? You can always go back and look at the previous blogs to find them. See if you can make better sentences than mine.
Everybody in the Fantastic Foxes class is doing an amazing job of learning at home with their parents so they should feel very proud of themselves.
How many did I get? Did I use a conjunction?
Our Collective Worship value for today is ASPIRE.
Before you start our collective worship activity for the day can you see if you can remember the song we sing at the start of collective worship each day in school? We usually sing it as we put the special cloth onto our table. Teach the song to someone in your family.
Yesterday we started to learn about the story of ‘The lost sheep’. In the story the shepherd showed great care and love for his sheep, just as God does for us. Can you think or how we can do this for those around us? How can we aspire to show our family and friends we care for them just like in the story?
Follow the link to today’s activity, watch the video, and use the link to get to more activities on Bitesize.
Don’t forget about Karate Cats Maths
Mental Maths Train
Remember to use the table with activities that Miss Thurston has put on the website it gives you lots of exciting ideas for things that you can do during your break times. Follow the link to find it.
What did you think to the new story Foxes? I like all three of the Oliver stories and I learnt something different from each one.
This is the link to the story if you would like to listen and read again.
Today your task is to find out how milk gets to the shops for us to buy, you can search online and use the link on the website too.
When you have found out record it in your books. You can use pictures, but make sure that you add some labels too.
What could you do today? Try a different activity by following the link
If you would rather have a break inside try this instead
