Collective Worship

Our Collective Worship value for today is RESPECT.

Before you start our activity for the day, relating to the lost sheep, think about the special collective worships we have in school on a Wednesday. Can you remember any of the names of our special church visitors who come to school to share stories from the bible with us?

The story of the lost sheep teaches us that it doesn’t matter who we are, God loves us all the same and we are all as important as each other. God has respect and love for us all. Today we would like you to think of ways in which you can show respect for those around you at home.

Don’t forget about Karate Cats Maths

Mental Maths Train

Which of Miss Thurston’s activities have you tried already?  Follow the link to find one for today (you can always go back to different days too!)

This is the link to the story to watch and read again

Read or listen to the story again if you need to and then try the science experiment using milk, you need a grown-up to help you with all of this so you may have to wait to complete this. Use your book to record what happens.

Follow the link on the website and choose a different activity that Miss Thurston has chosen for you

Choose your favourite activity to do outside. Getting fresh air safely is very good for us all

This afternoon we are going to think about what we all need to help us to stay healthy. I know that you already know about lots of things that are good for you and your body. Can you tell your grown up about some of them? We are going to think about hygiene and why it is so important fight germs and illnesses. Follow the links to watch two short videos about germs and keeping your hands clean,

Now you are ready to make a fact sheet or a poster all about keeping ourselves healthy and fighting germs.

Story time

Share a story with someone in your house today, but let them choose the story. Do you know what they might choose? Mrs Hallam would choose one of her favourites, ‘Wonky Donkey’!

May Challenge for today

Have you been outside today? Try and make sure that you have had some fresh air safely. What did you see?
