Home Learning Tasks for The Fantastic Foxes

Monday 23rd March 2020

Good Morning everyone, I hope that you are all well and had some fun this weekend. These are today’s activities, they don’t have to be completed in any order, you can mix and match them to fit in with the rest of your day. Remember any recording can be done in your red book. There are games and outdoor activities too so you can keep active and healthy.

Phonics / GPS

We have been working on different suffixes for the last few weeks, can you use the suffixes –less and -ful to make a list of as many words as you can think of, for example fearless and fearful.

Collective Worship

Our theme for today is ‘Learn’, can you think of something that you are looking forward to about learning at home and say a prayer about it.

We have just started learning about fractions, can you use Lego or any other objects to practice splitting an amount into equal halves.

If you can go outside find a ball and practice your throwing and catching. If you need to stay inside try some of the yoga poses from the website (there is a picture with all the poses that Miss Thurston has taught in the ‘Files to download’ section on the Fantastic Foxes class page).

Choose one of the chicks that we hatched to write an adventure about. What would they do? Where would they go? Who would they meet?

Enjoy having a well earned break. If you can go outside play your favourite game or get out your favourite toy. If you are staying inside play your favourite music and have a dance.

On Friday we started learning all about spring and the changes we will see in the weather and our environment over the next few weeks. Can you start a spring watch diary and record what changes you can see and what the weather is like today?

Miss Jones and Mrs Hallam hope that you all had a lovely Mother’s Day and that you will enjoy completing your first day’s tasks and activities at home. We can’t wait to see them in your red book.

We have had a good morning of working with phonics through BBC bite size, We have done our suffixes in our work book and Oliver has drawn a picture and had a go at a small story for chick. We have then gone out side and planted some seeds. Thanks for your help on what to do. Can you send or recommend some work sheets for Maths. Thanks x
