Morning Marvellous Moles!  How was your weekend? We hope you enjoyed the lovely sunny weather and managed to spend some time outside. Here is our first set of activities for the week, all about ‘The three little pigs’. We hope you enjoy having a go at them and remember to keep recording activities in your home learning books and emailing your super work to us.

Marvellous Moles Home Learning Tasks:

Phonics

As you know we are following the Sounds Write phonics teaching scheme in school. Have a go at the speed read game on their website. How many words can you read in 30 seconds? Record it in your book. We are currently working on Unit 9, if these are a little too tricky choose one of the lower units.

Collective Worship

Our collective worship value for today is SERVE.

The story that we are going to be thinking about this week is one from the Old Testament of the bible. It is called ‘Noah and the Ark’. If you have a bible or a bible story book you can read your own version of the story. If you haven’t you can watch it by following this link,

Once you have watched the story talk to your grown- ups about what Noah did to serve God.

PSED - Personal, Social, Emotional Development

Now you have heard the story of ‘The three little pigs’ think about how the three pigs might have felt when the wolf came to their door to blow their homes down. Have you ever felt like this before when something you have been working on has been broken or spoilt? What could you do if this happens? Who could help you?

PD - Physical Development

During our daily walks with our own children we have spotted lots of beautiful chalk drawings and games. Have a go at creating some of your own this week and send them in to the email below for Miss Thurston to see!
