Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Marvellous Moles Home Learning Tasks:

Phonics

We’re going to play the Sound Swap game today.

Make sound cards with th,l,e,p,r,i and b then start by building the nonsense word ‘thlep’ – remember to say the sounds and read the word.

Once you’ve made ‘thlep’, what sounds do you need to swap to change the word to ‘threp’? Then work out how to change ‘threp’ to ‘thrip’ and ‘thrip’ to ‘thrib’!

What a lot of silly words!  Were you able to hear all of the sounds?

Can you think of any real words that have the ‘th’ sound in?

Collective Worship

It’s Celebration Assembly day again!

Who in your family has done something to celebrate this week? Who has worked their brain the hardest? Who got most answers right in our brain quiz at the start of the week? Make a certificate for the person with the biggest bubble gum brain in your house.

M - Mathematical Development

We’ve been thinking about odd and even numbers all week, so hopefully you’re really starting to get good at knowing whether a number is odd or even now.  Here’s a game for you to play, to test out your skills!

Class Memory Activity

Today’s challenge is to try to make up a song all about being a Marvellous Mole!

Make a list of ideas, then think of a tune you like and see what you can come up with!

I’ll start…Oh we are the Marvellous Moles…We love to play and learn…We ride the bikes and throw balls…and we all take our turn!

(to the tune of The Grand Old Duke of York)
