Thursday 18th June 2020

Good morning Moles!  We hope you enjoyed yesterday’s activities.

It’s Thursday again!  How are you getting on this week?  Here are your learning activities for today.

Marvellous Moles Home Learning Tasks:

We will be continuing with the ‘th’ sound today.

In phonics we have been using our knowledge and skills to read sentences.

Read the following sentence and then answer the question below.

The cloth on his back was much too thin to stop the frost.

What do you think this sentence means?

Now have a go at writing the following dictated sentence, remember to say the sounds, write the words.

I think that thud was something landing on the grass.

Collective Worship

When we are in school, our brains are always working so hard all of the time. Our brains need to swap between different lessons and activities so that we can do all of our learning. Sometimes we need to give our brains a little break and one way we can do this is by doing some brain gym activities. In the link below, you will find some brain gym activities that you can try at home. Stop and think how you feel before and after you have tried them, does your brain feel any different? You could even learn some new brain gym activities to teach us.

M - Mathematical Development

Carrying on with our topic on odd and even numbers, we would like you to have a go at the following challenge. We have added the link if you would like to print it out.

Class Memory Activity

Today we’d like you to design a flag for the class.  Countries, regions and organisations have flags to represent their interests, areas and as a symbol of belonging.  For example, the Union Jack is a combination of the flags of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Think about your time in the Marvellous Moles class…what could you put on a flag to represent the Marvellous Moles?

Create a flag for the Marvellous Moles and send us a photo!
