Morning Moles!  How are you getting on this week?

 We still miss you and can’t wait until we can all be back together again, but in the meanwhile we will keep giving you ideas for things to do while you are staying safe at home – remember to send us some photos to the new class email address if you can!

Which activity has been your favourite so far this week? We can’t wait to see your learning books when you bring them back to school.


Marvellous Moles Home Learning Tasks:


Today we are going to play the Symbol Search game again – remind your grown- up how we play it.

Draw a grid and write in any letters of the alphabet, we have covered them all in school, ask your child to find a letter, write it in the air using their hands then trace over the top on the grid as they say the sound. How many did you know?

As an extension activity you could think of some words which begin with the sounds in your grid.


Collective Worship

Our collective worship value for today is RESPECT. Talk to the children about what this means.  Did the other court official show respect when they tried to get Daniel into trouble with King Darius? Why do you think they did that?


PSED - Personal, Social, Emotional Development

Yesterday we thought about how the characters in The Gingerbread Man felt.  How are you feeling today?  How do you feel when things don’t go your way?

What can we do to help us deal with situations when they don’t go our way? Practise some of them together.

PD - Physical Development

We hope you are enjoying the Zumba this week?

We can’t wait to see all of your new moves.

Today try Zumba Kids – Shake It Off


CL - Communication and Language

Talk with your grown up about your favourite part of the Gingerbread Man?

Can you explain why you like that part? Ask your grown- up which their favourite part is, is it the same or different to yours?


L - Literacy

Re-read or watch the story of the Gingerbread Man.

 In your book, draw a picture of your favourite part and write a sentence to go with it.

M - Mathematical Development

For Maths today, can you make repeating patterns using your body?

 e.g. clap, click, clap, click…..stamp, nod, stamp, nod…

For an extra challenge you could try it with three actions!



After you’ve eaten lunch and helped to clean up why not relax with your favourite Cosmic Kids Yoga video on YouTube?


EAD – Expressive Arts and Design.

Ask your grown up to help you fold a strip of paper into a zig-zag.  Draw a Gingerbread person on the top section, making sure that the hands go right to up to the edge. Then carefully cut them out (all at once) being careful to miss the section where the hands are. Open it up and see what you’ve got!  Then you can decorate your Gingerbread Friends!
