Hello again Moles!  Did you manage to get onto the summer reading challenge website yesterday? Remember to send your pictures of you reading in an unusual place so that we can add them to our gallery in school.

Here are your tasks for today.

Marvellous Moles Home Learning Tasks:

Today we are going to try one of our dictated sentences. Remember when you write you need to include a capital letter at the start of your sentence, finger spaces in-between words and a full stop at the end of your sentence.  Make sure that you say the sounds, write the words carefully and remember to think how to form your letters. If you are unsure which spelling of l/ll/le you need ask a grown-up which one to use.

We are going to think about the story of ‘The Cautious Caterpillar’ again, follow the link to find a version with sound so that you can listen to the story today.

Once you have read the story do you think that you could decide what Cody and the Ladybird are saying to each other? Write your ideas into the speech bubbles.

Toy Store Money Problems | Teaching Resources

How did you get on with your activity on money yesterday? Did you decide which coin you would most like to put into your money box? Today we would like you to set up a little play shop. Choose some toys and add some price labels to them. (Just use amounts which can be paid for using one coin to begin with) see if you can find the correct coin to pay for each item. If you get really good at this trying making larger amounts which you will need to use two coins to pay with e.g. 7p.

Below is a link to a coin reveal game, see if you can recognise the coin before it is all revealed.

We are carrying on with our reading week today. We would like you to go onto the Oxford reading owls website using the link below and look for a special kind of book. Most of the books we have looked at this year have been fiction books, this means they are stories and have been made up using someone’s imagination. Today we would like you to look for a non-fiction book. These books are different as they give us information or facts about something. Once you have found a book you think you will enjoy, read it with a grown up and record some facts for us in your home learning book.

Please look at our class invitiation in the files section

on our class home page and remember to pop to school to collect your report on Thursday afternoon.
