Hello again Moles! Did you enjoy making your cards yesterday? Remember to send them in so that we can give them out at the end of the term. We hope that you enjoy today’s activities.
Marvellous Moles Home Learning Tasks:
Today we are going to try one of our dictated sentences. Remember when you write you need to include a capital letter at the start of your sentence, finger spaces in-between words and a full stop at the end of your sentence. Make sure that you say the sounds, write the words carefully and remember to think how to form your letters.
Kim had a black cat.
Remember to have a look at your flash cards for our sight words from the previous day they are what, where and who. Practise reading the words and have a go at putting them into a sentence.
This week all of our collective worship activities are based on one of our school key values ASPIRE
The story ‘How To Catch A Star’ by Oliver Jeffers is all about having big dreams and aspirations. Follow the link to watch it,
What are your hopes, dreams and ambitions for the future? Can you think of ways that you could do it, just like the boy in the story?
M - Mathematical Development
Yesterday we watched the story ‘Where’s my teddy’ and thought of lots of size words to describe the two bears in the story. Today we would like you to think about how tall you are. With the help of a grown-up see if you can find out how tall you are in centimetres. To do this stand against a wall and measure from the floor all the way to the top of your head. Let us know how tall you are so that we can make a class chart. After you have done this think about how tall the other members of your family are. Draw a picture of your family starting with the shortest to the tallest and label who they are in your book.
Moving on activity
Next year when we move to our new class, something very exciting will be happening. You will be having a new class name. The Wonderful Wolves will be changing to the ‘Wonderful Wood mice’. Your new teacher will be Mrs Rose and your teaching assistants will be Mrs Hewitt and Mrs Clarke. Usually we would have some time in school to have a visit to your new classroom and time to get to know your teachers a little better. Sadly, we won’t be able to do this at the moment. Instead, we would like you to fill the picture below with pictures and words to tell us all about you! You could include:
- Your name and age
- Your favourite colour
- Who is in your family
- Your favourite song
- Your favourite TV show
- What you enjoy doing most at school and at home
We will then be able to pass these on to Mrs Rose so she can find out a little bit about you.
