Home Learning Tasks for The Wonderful Wolves

Good Morning everyone. It is Friday which means it is your last ever day as Wonderful Wolves. This is our last ever Wolves home learning blog.  We have missed all of you so much and the school has just not been the same without you, but every one of you has made us very proud with all the learning you have done from home.

Phonics

This week in phonics we are recapping different sounds that we have learnt during the year. The week we have looked at two sounds that can have the same spelling. The spelling can be used in different words for both the /ow/ sounds like in cow and the /oe/ sound like in flow. In school, we say same spelling different sound.

Today I am going to write you a list of words with the spelling in. You need to sort these into two columns depending if the spelling is the /o/ or the /oe/ sound in that word. Remember that because the spelling is different the headings at the top of the columns are the same you and need to work out which column to put to the words into by reading the other words in that column, I will put a picture below to remind you.

Collective Worship

Today is our last celebration collective worship of the school year!

We are going to give out some different awards today, I would like you to think about who has been the best teacher in your house and has been making the learning fun, the best cook that has been making the tastiest meals and the most impressive athlete who has stayed active every day! Can you think of any other awards that you could give out?

Make some certificates for your winners!

Mathematics

Today for maths I thought you might enjoy playing this time game. The children in school have been playing it to help them with learning to tell the time to the hour and to the half past the hour. Our best score was 165 can you beat it?
