Home Learning Tasks for The Wonderful Wolves
Good Morning, everyone. I hope you have enjoyed your first week of the Summer 6 term, even if the learning is still coming to you in an unusual way A big thank you to everyone who has shared work with us this week, the children in school have loved seeing what you have been getting up to. We look forward to being joined by even more of you next week. Before that please take the time to enjoy your weekend and spend some time relaxing, I will be having a little birthday celebration with my children. What about you?
We all know how important hand washing is in the current situation. We have decorated our sink with lots of the germs you created. Today in class we are creating instructions to remind us how to correctly wash our hands. We would really like you to create some instructions about this too so that we can put them up around the sinks in the classroom.
It’s our Celebration Collective Worship day today, so who has been a fantastic bucket filler in your house this week? We have all been very busy at school this week with some of the children coming back on Tuesday, so I am going to give my bucket filler award to everyone who has worked hard to make sure that school is still a lovely place to even though it is very different at the moment. Well done to all of the grown-ups and children this week.
Today there is also a virtual assembly available today, hosted by Ant and Dec on behalf of the NSPCC to spread their SPEAK OUT. STAY SAFE message if you would like to watch you can follow the link below.
Today for playtime can you choose one of the Change for Life 10 minutes of indoor activities to complete. https://www.nhs.uk/change4life/activities/indoor-activities
The video for the maths today can be found at https://vimeo.com/420698416 and is called “Week 6 Lesson 4 - Patterns with 3-D and 2-D shapes”. Enjoy watching the video, if at any point you do not understand feel free to watch the video again or pause it to ask your grown-ups for help. Then use your blue book to record the answers to the questions in the activity section. The activity sheet and answers can be found in the files section of the class page on the school website.
As well as our home learning gallery we have created a small picture gallery in the classroom of fun drawings and pictures that have been sent in by you from home or that have been created by the children in the classroom. Can you create a picture of drawing for us to add to the class art gallery?
How to Stay Safe and Healthy
In school, everyone is trying really hard to keep to all of the new social distancing rules. It is all so new and sometimes it is easy to forget what we have to do. Today we are going to create a poster with some simple rules to help us in the classroom at school. Can you create a poster to remind the children in school of ways to keep themselves healthy while in school? Share your posters with us to the class website so we can print them and put them up in the classroom.
Today for Bucket Bonanza the children in school have chosen to watch a film at the end of the day. We are going to vote later to see what film they would like to watch. Why don’t you have family movie time for your Bucket Bonanza today, maybe your grown-ups will even let you have a treat while watching the film.
