Home Learning Tasks for The Wonderful Wolves
Good morning everyone. Hope you have enjoyed the first week back at your new home learning tasks and are enjoying our new topic. What has been your favourite thing to do this week? I hope you all have a pleasant weekend and are refreshed and ready to start again on Monday.
Phonics / GPS
In phonics this week we have looked at the /oy/ sound. The spellings we have looked at are “oy and oi”
Go to phonics play can you play either “Trash or Treasure” or “Obb and Bob” and play using the /oy/ sound. This can be found in phase 3 for oi and phase 5 for oy.

It’s celebration Assembly day again!
Who in your family has done something to celebrate this week?
Can you make them a certificate?
English
Today we are going to take a little break from learning about Katie Morag to focus on some punctuation, specifically question marks. BBC Bitesize has put up some wonderful resources to help you with this. Can you watch the videos and complete the activities?

Playtime
Draw a picture of something that makes your smile. You could go outside and do this with chalk if it is safe to do so. Send us the pictures to the class email to make us smile too.
Mathematics
The video for today can be found at https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/ located in week 2 under “Lesson 1 - Compare capacity”. This is our last section on measure. Enjoy watching the video, if at any point you do not understand feel free to watch the video again or pause it to ask your grown-ups for help. Then use your blue book to record the answers to the questions in the activity section.
Lunchtime
In our house, we love to play board games. Can you create a simple board game that you and other family members can play?
PE
Over the past few weeks, my children and I have enjoyed using cosmic kids to help keep us active at home. Cosmic kids have lots of different yoga videos, many of which tell familiar stories such as The Twits, Frozen and Harry Potter. Go to https://www.youtube.com/user/CosmicKidsYoga and choose one of the sessions that you think will interest you the most.
Bucket Bonanza
Ask your grown-up to see if you can spend some time baking together. You could make a cake, or biscuits or something else yummy to eat to treat yourself for all your hard work this week.
