Home Learning Tasks for The Wonderful Wolves

Good Morning everyone. It has been lovely seeing so many pictures from you all this week. Please keep sending pictures our way if you haven’t already.

Phonics / GPS

This week I would like us to focus on poly-syllabic words, specifically words with 2 syllables. Today I would like you to have a go at writing polysyllabic words – for this the children will need each sound in the word writing onto individual pieces of paper (I will put the sounds at the side of each word) they then need to use the cards to write each syllable of the word before writing the word down a whole word with a pen or pencil.

Collective Worship

When we are in school, our brains are always working so hard all of the time. Our brains need to swap between different lessons and activities so that we can do all of our learning. Sometimes we need to give our brains a little break and one way we can do this is by doing some brain gym activities. In the link below, you will find some brain gym activities that you can try at home. Stop and think how you feel before and after you have tried them, does your brain feel any different? You could even learn some new brain gym activities to teach us.

Wolf Flag

Yesterday we made a motto for the Wolves Class. Today I would like you to think about all the things they you think about when you think about the Wonderful Wolves. I want you to use these ideas and turn them into a flag to represent our time together in the Wonderful Wolves. Your flag can be any shape you like. People remember to share a picture with us for the Home Learning Gallery in the classroom.
