Home Learning Tasks for The Wonderful Wolves
Good Morning, everyone. It was lovely to have so many extra faces in the classroom yesterday. While it is nice having the classroom fuller again we are all missing you at home so much. Keep sharing your work with us as you are still such an important part of our Wonderful Wolves class.
Phonics / GPS
For phonics yesterday, we began looking at the /j/ sound.
Can you read these different /j/ words? Once you have read the /j/ words can you choose your favourites and write them into some silly sentences in your blue book?
Today we are going to do some more work about bubbles. Over the past few days, more children have come to school and joined the bubbles. We don’t just have bubbles in school you have them at home too. Read the lovely poem about bubbles Miss Scrivens put on the school Facebook page. Can you then draw a picture of all the people in your bubble at home
Our Collective Worship value for today is LEARN.
Sometimes in life, we forget to spend time listening. Stop now and just listen, find 5 things you can hear in the background that you so often forget are there.
Listen to the story of Samuel listening to God.
Samuel listened and learnt and good things happen to him. It is important we all take like to listen and learn.
Play a game of Simon Says with someone at home and just practice your listening. After you have spent time listening swap over and ask the other person to listen to you.
Can you spend some time riding a bike or scooter.
The video for the maths today can be found https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/ Under “Summer Term - Week 7 - Lesson 2 - Count in 5s”. Enjoy watching the video, if at any point you do not understand feel free to watch the video again or pause it to ask your grown-ups for help. Then use your blue book to record the answers to the questions in the activity section. The activity sheet and answers can be found in the files section of the class page on the school website.
Remember there is also the weekly maths challenge sheet in the files section.
