Home Learning Tasks for The Wonderful Wolves

Good Morning, everyone, can you believe it is Wednesday again already. Yesterday I spent some time sending all of your grown-ups and email. It would be lovely if you could all sit with your grown-ups and send us a little reply so we can all keep in touch.

Phonics / GPS

For phonics yesterday, we began looking at the /j/ sound.

Can you read these different /j/ words? Once you have read the /j/ words can you choose your favourites and write them into some silly sentences in your blue book?

In phonics this week we have been looking at the /j/ sound.

How many different /j/ words can you find in 2 minutes. Remember the spelling of the sound /j/ are ‘j, g, ge and dge’.

Last week we talked about the book Everybody Worries. In school, we often look at the same book more than once and today I would like you to look at that book again. In the book, it suggests drawing out your worries and feelings and this is what we are going to try to do today. In the book, the illustrator uses lots of squiggles and wiggly lines. I would like you to use squiggly lines to draw a worry monster. Below are some ideas of lines you might use. So draw a line that represents your worry and then turn it into a monster. Once you have created the monster I would like you to add some adjectives to describe how he is feeling.

Collective Worship

Our Collective Worship value for today is RESPECT.

Today our story is called “The woman who touched Jesus.” You can watch it by clicking on the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADGt2bywT0k

In the story the woman has been poorly for many years but she still respects Jesus and believe he can heal her. In the end Jesus explains that it was not him but her respect and trust that healed her.

Respect is such an important value to have – can you talk about the different people who you respect, can you talk about why you respect them. Can you then think of a list of people who respect you, why do you think they respect you?

Can you take part in a Change 4 Life 10 minute shake up challenge? Maybe you will choose the one with the coolest name or the one that is your favourite character.
