Welcome

Langley Mill Church of England (Controlled) Infant School and Nursery

We hope that you find our school website useful to find out about what we do at Langley Mill and all of the latest events that are happening in our school. Please add us to your favourites and log on regularly to see what we have been doing and what we are planning.

We are a happy, friendly Church of England School for children aged three to seven years. We are situated on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border, in the Amber Valley area of the East Midlands. Click here for a map.

The children are taught through a broad, balanced and creative curriculum that incorporates a wide range of first-hand experiences.  We place a great emphasis on the teaching fundamental skills and are passionate that every child leaves us able to read.  Our curriculum was regarded as a strength of the school during our last Ofsted inspection in June 2020.

At our school we work hard to make sure that it is a safe, happy and supportive place where everyone can 'achieve their best'. We enjoy involving parents and carers and the wider community in the life of the school and we are always delighted to welcome visitors and show them our wonderful school.

This website is designed to give you an overview of our school but you will gain a much greater insight into the ethos of the school by a visit. If you have not already visited us, please come to meet the staff and the children in school and see our wonderful buildings and grounds.

All parents and carers can request a paper copy of any information provided on this school website and minutes from Governing Body meetings free of charge.  Please put any requests in writing to the Business Manager, Mrs S. Rivington.
