Remote Learning

Dojo

What is Dojo?

Dojo is a secure online platform which teachers use to communicate with parents about their child’s learning and to set tasks for children for home learning to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Through Dojo, the children can show what they know, using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. Each child’s work is kept in the child’s portfolio and nothing is shared without teacher approval.

All parents are given an individual login code so they can share learning which is competed at home. This can be pictures, writing or videos. Whatever learning your child is doing at home, Dojo allows you or them to share this with their teacher.

Below, you will find a link to a video explaining how to get set up on dojo as a parent.

Parent Tutorial

As a staff, we are very excited to use Dojo as it means we can communicate with parents and engage the children in their home learning.

SEND Support with Remote Learning

We recognise that some pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) may not be able to access remote education without support from adults at home.  We acknowledge the difficutlies this may place on families, and we work with parents and carers to support those pupils in many different ways.  Resources given here might be useful. Please contact the school’s SENDCo, Mrs C. Goulding for more support:  01773 713429 C.Goulding@langleymill-inf.derbyshire.sch.uk
