We hope that you all had a wonderful summer break and that you are ready for a new term.
We are so excited to meet you all and we cannot wait for your new learning adventure to begin here with us at Langley Mill CofE Nursery.
Let the fun begin!
This term our topic is ‘Marvellous Me’
For this term we will be starting our Topic ‘Marvellous Me’.
This topic was chosen as the children need to have a really good sense of self before they can learn about other things and the wider world. It is important for the children to know why they are special and what makes them unique. They need to know how people are different and similar, starting with those familiar to them then extending to other families in a wider context. The children also need lots of freedom and choice to practise a range of skills and develop knowledge across many areas.
Teacher: Miss Statham
Teaching and Learning Assistant: Mrs Robinson
We will continue using the Seesaw Class App and Seesaw Family App this half term so make sure you have downloaded both and are logging in regularly using the codes given to you by your class teacher.
The QR codes and instructions to guide you through this process have already been provided. Duplicates are available on request from the nursery teacher.
New starters in nursery will be given instructions to guide you through the process and your QR codes on arrival to your first nursery session.
It is important that you log-in to both accounts. The Class App provides ‘WOW’ moments through out the year and any extra activities that may be needed to assist your child’s learning through out the school year. The Family App is the method of communication with the class teacher. Questions directed to teachers need to be about learning. For all other issues, please use the main school contact phone number or email address.
Seesaw will only be responded to during weekdays between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm.
If you have any questions or queries, please contact Miss Statham.
