We have really enjoyed having so many new children join our nursery and are looking forward to continuing to welcome more. We can not wait to meet you all and we cannot wait for your new learning adventure to begin here with us at Langley Mill CofE Nursery.

We hope you have had great October half term and ready for our new topic Fantastic Festivals. We are looking forward to celebrating this term with you!

We  also look forward to being a part of your child’s next stage of their early education.

Learning Focus

This term our topic is ‘Fantastic Festivals’

During this topic the children will learn all about a variety of cultures, religions and beliefs and begin to understand their celebrations. We will celebrate the special celebrations of birthdays and have a birthday party. We will go on to explore all elements of Christmas including the traditional Christmas Story and why we celebrate Christmas.

Dojo Information

  • We will continue using the Dojo app to share learning and communicate wit parents/carers so make sure you have downloaded it and are logging in regularly using the codes given to you by your class teacher.
  • The QR codes and instructions to guide you through this process have already been provided.  Duplicates are available on request from the nursery teacher.
  • New starters in the nursery will be given instructions to guide you through the process and your QR codes on arrival to your first nursery session.
  • It is important that you log-in as we will use the app to provided ‘WOW’ moments throughout the year and any extra activities that may be needed to assist your child’s learning throughout the school year. The messaging part of the app is a method of communication with the class teacher.  Questions directed to teachers need to be about learning.  For all other issues, please use the main school contact phone number or email address.
  • Dojo will only be responded to during weekdays between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm.
